Marc Gunther bio

Marc Gunther is a veteran journalist, speaker, and writer who reported on business and sustainability for many years. Since 2015, he has been writing about foundations, nonprofits, psychedelics, animal welfare, global poverty and many other things on his blog, Nonprofit Chronicles and at Medium.

Marc was editor at large of Guardian Sustainable Business US from 2012 through 2015. He was a senior writer at FORTUNE magazine from 1996 through 2008.

Marc is the author or co-author of four books, including Faith and Fortune: How Compassionate Capitalism is Transforming American Business (Crown 2004). His latest book, Suck It Up: How capturing carbon from the air can help solve the climate crisis, was published in 2012 as an Amazon Kindle Single.

He has also written for The Chronicle of Philanthropy, Stanford Social Innovation Review, The New York Times, Washington Post, Vox, YaleEnvironment360 and Slate.
